The ELLA® method by biolitec®

In the ELLA^® (Endometriosis Laparoscopic Laser Application) procedure, endometriosis lesions and ovarian cysts and adhesions are removed with laser energy during a laparoscopy. A laser light conducting glass fiber is introduced into the abdominal cavity through a laparoscopic tube. The very thin laser fiber focuses the laser light very precisely on the tissue to be treated.

Healthy tissue around the endometriosis infestation is preserved due to the extremely gentle and targeted cutting and coagulation with laser energy. The surface of the treated tissue becomes smooth, which reduces scarring and prevents later adhesion.

A comparative study shows the proven preservation of the ovarian reserve in laser treatment ELLA^® compared to treatment with bipolar instruments. The likelihood of spontaneous pregnancy after laser treatment is significantly increased.
